Tips and Tricks
When cooking any large cuts of meat, it’s always best to check the internal temperature to make sure your meat is adequately cooked. For a ham hock cooked in an Instant Pot, the internal temperature should reach 165°F.
If you want to add some more flavor to the ham hock, you can also add 1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce to the cooking liquid in the Instant Pot. This will give the ham a wonderful smoky flavor.
