How to Cook Ground Turkey in Instant Pot

Ingredients:
2 pounds of ground turkey - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 1 can of diced tomatoes with green chillies (28-ounce can)
- ¼ cup of water
Instructions:
Step 1: Set the Instant Pot to “Sauté” mode and heat the olive oil in the pot. - Step 2: Add the diced onions and garlic and cook for 3 minutes.
- Step 3: Add the ground turkey and cook until the turkey is no longer pink, about 8 minutes.
- Step 4: Add the cumin, chili powder, black pepper, and salt and stir to combine.
- Step 5: Add the diced tomatoes and water and stir to combine.
Step 6: Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set it to “Manual” pressure cooking mode for 15 minutes. - Step 7: Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes. Then do a quick release to release any remaining pressure.
- Step 8: Open the lid and use a wooden spoon to break the ground turkey up into smaller pieces if desired.
- Step 9: Serve the ground turkey and enjoy!
