How to Cook Riblets in a Crock Pot
Riblets can be a delicious meal if done right. Cooking them in a crock pot for a longer and slower process of simmering helps bring out their flavour and texture. Here are some steps on how to do just that:
Ingredients
- 2 lbs of pork riblets
- 1/2 cup of barbeque sauce
- 1/4 cup of red wine
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of fresh oregano
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
- 1/4 cup of butter
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the barbeque sauce, red wine, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper and sea salt.
- Place the riblets in the bowl and coat them evenly with the mixture.
- Over low heat, melt the butter in a saucepan and stir the riblets in.
- Transfer the riblets and pan juices to the crock pot, and cover it.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Remove the lid and turn up the heat to high for an additional 15-20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve and enjoy!
That’s all it takes to cook juicy and flavourful riblets in a crock pot. Enjoy!
