How to Cook Riblets in a Crock Pot

Riblets can be a delicious meal if done right. Cooking them in a crock pot for a longer and slower process of simmering helps bring out their flavour and texture. Here are some steps on how to do just that:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of pork riblets
  • 1/2 cup of barbeque sauce
  • 1/4 cup of red wine
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/4 cup of butter

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the barbeque sauce, red wine, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper and sea salt.
  2. Place the riblets in the bowl and coat them evenly with the mixture.
  3. Over low heat, melt the butter in a saucepan and stir the riblets in.
  4. Transfer the riblets and pan juices to the crock pot, and cover it.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  6. Remove the lid and turn up the heat to high for an additional 15-20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

That’s all it takes to cook juicy and flavourful riblets in a crock pot. Enjoy!
