How to Cook Smoked Turkey Wings in the Crockpot
Smoked turkey wings are an easy and delicious meal for any occasion. Not only are they packed with flavor, they are also very hearty and a great way to make sure everyone is full. Plus, if you have a crockpot, cooking them is a breeze. Here’s a guide to help you cook the perfect smoked turkey wings.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2-3 pounds of smoked turkey wings
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the turkey wings and fry them until lightly browned.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper (if using) and brown sugar.
- Transfer the browned wings to the crockpot and pour the Worcestershire sauce over them. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the wings.
- Cover the crock pot, set it to low and cook for 8-10 hours or until the turkey wings are cooked through. Mix the wings occasionally and add more Worcestershire sauce if necessary.
