Step-by-Step Guide for Measuring Plant Pots
- Step 1: Measure the width and length of the pot from the outside edges in a straight line across the widest part of the pot.
- Step 2: Measure the depth of the pot from the top opening or rim to the bottom of the pot.
- Step 3: Record the measurements in inches and/or centimeters.
Make sure that you know whether it is a square or a round pot, as these measurements will be slightly different.
Once you have the measurements, you can use them to determine the size of the pot your plant needs. For most plants, a 12-inch pot or larger is ideal.
