The Instant Pot is a popular multi-cooker appliance that acts as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, yogurt maker, and more. While the device is incredibly useful, sometimes it may need to be reset. Here’s how to reset an Instant Pot for optimal performance.
Steps to Reset an Instant Pot
- Make sure the steam release handle is in the Sealing position.
- Press and hold the Keep Warm/Cancel and Manual (or Pressure Cook) buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- The display panel will show r00. At this point, the Instant Pot is reset.
- Reactivate the Instant Pot by pressing the Manual (or Pressure Cook) button to restart the default program.
If you’re using an Instant Pot for the first time, you can also use this process as a way to set up the appliance and browse through the preset programs. After each use, make sure to reset the Instant Pot to keep it running in optimal condition.
