Using a Tea pot
What You Need
- Tea pot
- Tea Leaves
- Water
- Kettle
Instructions
- Fill the Kettle: Fill the kettle with water. Make sure that there is enough water in the kettle to fill the tea pot.
- Heat the Water: Heat the kettle over the stove. Boil the water until it is steaming but not boiling.
- Add Tea Leaves: Place a few tea leaves in your tea pot. Do not add too many leaves as this may over-steep the tea. The amount of leaves you add will depend on the size of your tea pot.
- Pour the Water: Carefully pour the hot water into the tea pot.
- Let the Tea Steep: Place a lid on the tea pot and allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on the type of tea you are making.
- Pour and Enjoy: When the tea has finished steeping, carefully pour it into cups or a teapot and enjoy!
Tips
- Do not over-steep the tea leaves as this may make the tea too bitter.
- Always use fresh, filtered water.
- If the tea is too strong, add some more hot water.
- If you are making iced tea, allow the tea to cool before pouring over ice.
