How to Make Peach Butter in a Crock Pot

Making homemade peach butter in a slow cooker is an easy, delicious way to make your own spreadable condiment. Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs fresh peaches, pits removed and roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Place peaches, lemon juice, spices and honey in a large crock pot, and stir until mixture is combined.
  2. Cover and cook until peaches are very soft, about 4 hours on low heat or 2 hours on high heat.
  3. Carefully remove the peach mixture from the crock pot and place in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
  4. Return the mixture to the crock pot and stir in the brown sugar.
  5. Cook on low heat for an additional 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally until desired thickness is reached.
  6. Let the peach butter cool before transferring to air tight containers. The peach butter will keep for up to a month in the refrigerator.

Enjoy your homemade Peach Butter!
